Little Play Village
Branding / Signpainting / Wayfinders / Mural
Little Play Village in Hadleigh, Essex. Holly came to me with an idea and together we brought it to life. Little Play Village is a small town for children to live out their imaginations in and the Little Cafe is a grown up, sophisticated coffee shop for the parents to chill in. All under one roof with lots of room for buggys. Born out of the lack of play areas with adult friendly spaces within that the parents can enjoy as well as the children.
The brand had to transfer from child to parent but still be connected. Colours helped to define the two, while keeping the font and assets simple, playful and versatile. Shapes that could make up different assets that mirrored each part of the brand.
I painted the (huge) shop fasica, wayfinders, cafe mural and logo, mini shop signs for the mini town, and a mural in the toilet and hallway.
It was an amazingly fun project and I thank Holly for all the trust she gave me to create something for all generations to enjoy.
